Today, I will continue my look at cards I would love to see added to MLB The Show's Diamond Dynasty mode by jumping over to the pacific coast and peeping the AL West. If you missed the AL East or AL Central, make sure to check them out. Houston Astros - Craig Biggio (1997) A life long Astro, Biggio had one of his better seasons in '97. He led the league with 146 runs scored, had 191 hits, including 37 doubles and hit 22 homers all while dropping a .309 batting average. Oh, yea and he also added 47 steals! He showed off superb defensive ability at 2nd base as he picked up a Gold Glove for his efforts. Biggio would be a very desirable 2B with an excellent contact, power, speed, fielding combo. LA Angels of Anaheim - Tim Salmon (1993 ROOKIE) People love themselves some Tim Salmon. In 1993, Salmon came on the scene by mashing 31 homers and driving in 95 runs. He also showed off a nice arm in Right Field, picking up 12 outfield assists. Salmon was the American League Rookie of the Year for that season Oakland Athletics - Rickey Henderson (1990) Henderson's 1990 season might possibly be the best all-around statistical season in history: 119 runs scored, 159 hits, 28 homeruns, 65 stolen bases, a .325 average, a .439 on-base percentage and a 1.016 OPS. He was a freaking leadoff hitter! Needless to say Rickey won the AL MVP that season and deserves to have himself a sweet bunt cheese card in The Show Seattle Mariners - Randy Johnson (1995) Now, this pick might be a point of contention because there is a very good case to be made that any Randy Johnson card should be a DBacks card, but I'm going to go with his 1995 season in Seattle. Johnson went 18-2 with a 2.48 ERA and 294 K's in 214 innings, picking up the first of his 5 Cy Young Awards. That heater/slider combo would be deadly. Texas Rangers - Juan Gonzalez (1998) 1998 was the year of the homer, and Juan-Gone was no exception. Gonzalez ripped 45 jacks and added 50 doubles and 157 RBI's winning his 2nd MVP in 3 seasons. He also chipped in a .318 average. Well, that is the American League complete. Make sure to check back next time as I take a look at the National League East!
