You may have noticed a few weeks ago, I promoted my new Patreon page where you could visit, become a Patron (by pledging a monthly donation amount) and in return, I would provide exclusive monthly content in the form of wrestling watch alongs.
I have decided that I will not be pursuing this method of support and the page has been shut down. In lieu of today's announcement from Twitch concerning the availability to streamers of making their live streams subscriber-only and seeing some of the conversation surrounding the topic and the controversy it has caused, I have done some self-reflection on the content I provide and what I expect out of it. I enjoy making content, the return of The Snaggle Show has been fun and engaging for me and I don't expect anything out of it in return. I enjoy hitting the record button and making episodes that people enjoy. I don't need to shill and offer special incentives for people to support my content. You're listening to the show is enough. So there will be no Patreon, but I will still continue to provide great content for all to enjoy! Over the years, you might have seen me running a 24-hour streaming marathon in support of Extra Life 4 Kids, an initiative that uses the power of video games to help raise money for Children Miracle Network hospitals. In 3 years, we have come together to raise over $4000 for this cause, and its my most cherished accomplishment as a content creator.
I've decided to take this to the next level! Welcome to Snagoholics 4 Good! I'm going to start branching out and helping other organizations in need. In 2019, I plan on helping out three organizations (outside of our usual Extra Life 4 Kids marathon) that NEED OUR HELP! First up, my local Community Food Bank! It has been a hard winter here in Canada and the food bank's supply has been taxed more than it ever has before. On Thursday, March 28th, join me over at twitch.tv/SnaggleJ as we play a full day of baseball games and raise money for this great cause! Over the course of the day, I'll be giving away five(5) copies of Out of the Park Baseball 20!! If you would like to help, you can head over to my Streamlabs Donation page and make a donation! Anything received between March 25th and 28th will be counted and delivered to the Food Bank on March 29th! My goal for this first event is $500, any little bit you can spare in support is helpful! I will have a handy ticker on the screen all day Thursday to help us keep track of our progress! I also plan on having some cool stickers made up and sent to people who help support our causes. More info on that soon! For the purposes of being open and transparent, ALL donations will be listed on this site and on my Twitch page (panel at the bottom). If you would like to remain anonymous, please let me know in your donation description. Our other events will tentatively take place in June, November and December. More info on that soon as well! Year 1, June PPV
You can watch the archive HERE Adam Cole def. Aleister Black to retain the Twitch Championship - Cole tried to dispatch Black using some heel tactics with interference from Undisputed Era stable-mate Roderick Strong and also trying to use the ropes for a pin. Eventually, Cole caught Black with a roll-up to get the 1-2-3 Finn Balor def. Kevin Owens - Balor took down Mr. Money In The Bank after a back and forth match with saw both men hit finishers, eventually leading to Balor scoring a pinfall victory after the Coup de Gras. After the match, Balor was attacked by a debuting Mr. Amazing leading to a beat down. Surely Balor will be looking for payback on this week's Thursday Titans Power & Glory def. Gallows & Anderson, The Hart Foundation and Undisputed Era to win the Tag Team Championship - An insane tornado tag match which eventually saw ThatSportsGamer hit Karl Anderson with an Olympic Slam and pick up the win. Edge def. Velveteen Dream - The Dream was hoping a third time was a charm, but once again, Edge comes out victorious. What's next for Velveteen Dream? Cooperstown Kurt def. Mr. Perfect and Johnny Gargano to retain the United States Title - The odds were stacked against Coop, but he found a way to outlast 2 worthy challengers to keep his US Championship Kenny Omega def. Razor Ramon to retain the Canadian Championship - Kenny finally put Razor to rest with an impressive effort to keep the Canadian Title. With no clear path forward, does Kenny now set his sights on the big prize? Kris "Action" Jackson def. Ric Flair to win the World Heavyweight Championship - Flair's title reign ends with a whimper as Jackson dominated the match for the most part, eventually hitting a Taking Action and a big elbow drop to pick up the 1-2-3 and become the NEW World Heavyweight Champion. Make sure to catch the fallout this Thursday at 7:30pm Eastern on Thursday Titans at twitch.tv/SnaggleJ Live from Washington, DC
Bret Hart def. Kevin Owens - Mr. Money in the Bank didn't have a particularly good night as he was tapped out by the Hitman. Owens looked pretty dejected as he left the ring after the match The Revival def. Power & Glory - P&G looked in control until Darth Obvious got confused later on in the match. This allowed The Revival to recover and eventually hit the Shatter Machine to pick up the 1-2-3. Not sure where the young tag team of P&G go from here Velveteen Dream def Edge via count-out - In the first ever D-League match, Edge simply left the ring and stood on the stage as he was counted. The bizarre choice gave Dream a point in the standings and cost Edge a point as well. Hopefully we get some insight into exactly what Edge was up to next week Cooperstown Kurt def Mr. Perfect to become the NEW United States Champion - What. A. Match. Kurt was on the offensive early, taking Perfect to the outside and laying a beating on him. The match was thought to be over when Coop hit Mr. Perfect with a Superkick as Perfect was leaping off the top rope. Eventually, Coop reversed a Perfect Plex into a roll-up for a 2 count, and eventually hit another Superkick to pick up the 1-2-3 and become the US Champion The Club def. The Undisputed Era - Cole and O'Reilly seemed to hang Bobby Fish out to dry for a solid beating from The Club, not even trying to stop the eventual pin after Gallows & Anderson hit the Magic Killer. Kris Jackson def. AJ Styles, Sami Zayn and Aleister Black to become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship - Another amazing match. Plenty of finishers hit and near falls in the match. Eventually Jackson hit Zayn with the Taking Action and picked up the 1-2-3 securing his title shot against Ric Flair at Night of Champions You can watch the YouTube archive Here

I've been wanting to get back into writing for a while and finally decided to put this wonderful website to work and get things moving!
You may or may not have noticed on my Twitter recently that I posted an image or a blank notebook page with the heading "Plan to Become a Twitch Partner". I have been enjoying streaming more and more lately and feel like I really wanted to set a goal for myself or becoming a Partner (what can I say, I like checkmarks, coughTwittercough). I'm being very realistic about the situation. I am well aware that the chances of it happening are small, that it's going to take a lot of hard word and consistency, but at the same time, I believe it is achievable. I have had a few people reach out to me on Twitter asking what they can do to help. The quick answer is: exactly what you already have been doing to support me. But I will gladly elaborate in this post on some things that you can do as a dedicated Snagoholic to help US achieve this goal (and I say us because this is a partnership, a community and we will get to this goal together) I want to preface this with the following: NONE of this is mandatory. I appreciate any and all support I get, and will continue to appreciate said support no matter what. But, if you are interested in doing whatever it takes to get us to the finish line, here are a few tips 1. Always have the stream open when I'm live. The hardest part of the partnership requirements is the 75 average viewers over a 30-day span. Now, I know it might not always be possible to watch a stream, but if you see I'm live, opening the stream in a tab, and then muting said tab (by right clicking on the tab itself and selecting Mute Tab, DO NOT mute the stream, it won't count as a viewer). This step will go a long way towards adding a viewer to the stream and moving us up the game directories to get more exposure. You should probably turn stream notifications on to, but again, purely optional. 2. RT'ing the stream As always, word of mouth is the best form of advertising. I will be setting up a command on the stream (in the form of a link) that you will be able to click on and it will tweet out the stream on your account. Even if you bring one additional viewer to the stream, that's one person closer we are to the goal. 3. Be Active In Chat Remember, these are totally optional. I would never force or ask someone who prefers to lurk to do anything other than that. But, if you are typically active in chat, continue to do so. It will make new people to the stream feel welcome, give them a way into the conversation and increase the likelihood of them returning to future streams. 4. Keep Being Awesome I love my community. I've already gotten way more out of this journey than I ever expected to get, so anything that happens from here on out is gravy. This is all just the point of continuing to work hard and provide quality entertainment. Nothing is going to change in how we do things. I will still provide a positive, inclusive and fun community where everyone is welcome and you will continue to be a part of is as long as you want to. No checkmark is worth giving up what we have built so far, but....think of all the cool emotes we could have (paging CG) Keep being #TooSweet SnaggleJ First off, I would like to thank everyone who participated in the stream survey I sent out on Discord/Twitter earlier in the week. Based on that feedback, I have came up with a list of tweaks, changes and additions that I'll be implementing on the stream ASAP. I decided to write up a quick post just to let everyone know what is to come.
1. Schedule & Games I’m going to start playing more non-sports games on the stream. We will still be playing through our NHL and Madden franchises, but we will also be integrating a greater variety of games into the schedule as well. Some games that I would love to stream more (like Fortnite, Witcher 3, Super Mario RPG, etc), will get more time on a weekly basis. To make this possible, sports games will now find their home on Sunday and Monday nights, with the other nights of the week reserved for other content. 2. Junior Snags Club – more family friendly My kids will be making more appearances on stream as I try and incorporate them more and more into video games. One Saturday per month, the kids will stream a game of their choice as part of the new Junior Snags Club! In that same breathe, I’m going to be making a more conscious effort to cut down on the swearing and inappropriate content on stream to make the channel a little more PG, that goes for chat as well. 3. Regular Giveaways (Monthly Snagaway) In an effort to give back to the Snagoholics that support me so much, I’m going to be doing monthly giveaways (which will be knows as Snagaways of course!) each month on the 1st. These giveaways will be open to anyone who follows the Twitch channel, and subscibers will have a 2x chance of winning! These giveaways will range about $25 in value, but I feel it’s a good way to show my appreciation for all the support I get While these changes seem subtle, they are directly based on the feedback you all provided and for that I am very appreciative. We are a community and in that spirit, I want to put on the best stream I can and provide an excellent viewing experience. Now, let’s get back to business and have some fun! Catch you all in the stream! |
